History

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church began with a group of fifteen families (29 members). The first worship service was held on April 6, 1986. God has richly blessed Holy Trinity throughout its history, from twenty-nine charter members, the membership has grown to almost 1400 baptized members.

As the congregation continued to grow it was realized that additional traditional worship services were needed. The Sunday worship schedule increased to three traditional worship services and a year-round Wednesday evening service. In September of 2006 a contemporary style worship service was also added to the Sunday worship schedule. We now maintain three traditional worship services in the new sanctuary and one contemporary service in the Fellowship Hall/Resonate Sanctuary, as well as the informal Wednesday evening service in the new sanctuary.

In the fall of 1987, Holy Trinity Christian Preschool began operation in one room of the church with thirteen three and four year olds meeting two days a week. Holy Trinity Christian School has grown, become accredited, and achieved an outstanding reputation within the community educating children from one-year-old to seventh grade about the love of Jesus Christ. In the fall of 2016 it was decided to update the name of the school to Holy Trinity Lutheran School to ensure the community understood the relationship of the church and school as one organization working together to further the mission of our Lord.

During the growth of our church and school we have had three building projects over the past fifteen years. Our facilities have grown to include a new sanctuary seating 500, a school (preschool through eighth grade), a Fellowship Hall, Family Life Center/Gymnasium, a commercial kitchen, a youth center for our mid-high and high school students, and most recently we are added three more classrooms that also serve as tornado safe-rooms for our school and for the congregation during services.

With God’s continued blessing, Holy Trinity’s congregation looks forward to many more years of service to the Lord. We invite you to come and worship with us and learn more about what God is doing in this place and how we can serve you in your faith walk.
